The beans for the MUHABURA series come from bushes growing at altitudes above 2,000 meters in northern, western, and southern Rwanda. Grown in volcanic soils, they draw their qualities from the Land of a Thousand Hills. Fed by crystal-clear water, the fruit ripens harmoniously in the rays of the equatorial sun. Always hand-picked and carefully sorted, the cherries undergo a honey-processing process. The sweetness of the pulp, which remains on the coffee stones after the skin is removed, permeates the beans, creating a rich blend of intriguing flavor notes.
